What is CEFACD?
CEFACD is a trade association representing European manufacturers of domestic independent space heating and cooking appliances fuelled by coal, wood, gas or fuel oil.
CEFACD was founded in 1950. In order to keep costs down the CEFACD administration is split between a Technical Secretary based in Germany and a General Secretary based in the UK; carrying out these roles as an addition to their work with their respective National trade associations.
What is our main aim?
Our main aim is to study all technical questions and legislative issues relevant to the industry and its members; and in particular those questions and legislative issues relating to:
-
The combustion of coal, wood, gas or fuel oil in domestic independent space heating and cooking appliances, and
-
The practical application of these appliances having due regard for safety, the environment, the consumer and economic return,
and as a consequence help members to deliver the benefits of these various fuels in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
